Top 5 NRL Code Switches We WANT To See

  • Top 5 NRL Code Switches We WANT To See

Wendell Sailor, Lote Tuqiri and Mat Rogers started this trend by fleeing the NRL for Rugby Union.

Karmichael Hunt and Israel Folau escalated things by setting up stumps in the AFL.

But now with Jarryd Hayne's successful transition to the NFL and Josh Dugan hilariously declaring he wants to follow Hayne to the NFL too comes news that Brisbane Broncos winger Daniel Vidot will try-out for the WWE.

Where will the madness end?

So we thought which other players in the NRL are in danger of a code/career switch.

5. George Burgess - Baseball

Sure, he copped two weeks for this incident, but the now infamous bottle throw showed that Baby George Burgess has got a pretty decent throwing arm.

If we're not careful the MLB or ABL will be head-hunting Burgess to trial for a role as a pitcher.

4. Josh Reynolds - UFC

Reynolds has shown time and time again that he has great take down prowess. Some of his trips are judo-like. He has shown he's not afraid to.....

Ah, who am I trying to kid, I'd just love to see Reynolds in a cage with a pro fighter and get 50 shades of brown beaten out of him.

3. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck - Broadway

This has been Roger "Twinkle Toes" Tuivasa-Sheck's break out season. His ability to dance, hop, skip and jump his way around the field and defenders has surely caught the attention of talent agents around the nation, if not the world.

If it turns out RTS can sing too, then the NRL's hopes of retaining him are as doomed as the Dodo.

2. Greg Bird, Dave Taylor, Beau Falloon - Mexican Cartel

This trio probably popped up on the radar of Juaquin "El Chapo" Guzman since they were charged for cocaine possession and supply.

The cartels are surely always on the lookout for international contacts with a "nose" for the business.

God knows the NRL cannot compete with the pay packet the cartel's could offer, however the cartel pension fund is said to be a dead end...

1. Robbie Farah - E-Sports

Sure Farah may not be poached by E-Sports but perhaps it is something Farah should consider.

He wouldn't have to deal with team mates, coaches, management or any other person: something he seems to struggle with.

He could just play computer games on his own, his way against other people. The perfect fit for the most prickly personality in the league.
